Assorted handroll (tempura prawn and salmon skin) and sushi.

Kimchi baby tako, cold clams, mussels and prawns.

The salmon sashimi don't taste that fresh. But at least I did not get any diarrhoea after that.
The prawn tempura handroll was not bad. The seaweed is not soggy and the prawn tempura is crispy

Kaminabe (Paper Hot Pot)

There are 4 types to choose from, beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetables.

The soup is rather salty.

Shark fin soup. Crab meat instead of shark fin. It's a good thing! I don't support killing sharks for their fins.

The curry chicken ramen tasted like... curry chicken flavour instant noodles.
The black pepper beef was good though.

Kushin Bo have a few of this detox water. Good for quenching thirst and feeling healthy.

I like the plate! Can have a little fun with your friends and family by playing the bingo game.

Honestly... was disappointed with Kushin Bo buffet. Not much varieties and the food aren't that fantastic. Like, I don't have the WOW reaction when I ate the food. The standard was so-so. But the staff were friendly and quick to clear our plates.

The usual sauces - garlic, spring onion, chili, ponzu sauce, soya sauce, grated ginger etc

There were also a few pots of different soups for customers to top up their soups.

The premium thinly sliced beef were really good! The amount of fats is just nice. The prawns were fresh and plump!

The chicken was so-so. But most probably cuz i'm not a fan of chicken.

Review : Liphop Bye Bye Pore-Cleanse Blackhead Zero Soft Clay Mask

100ml at $12.90, sold in Guardian pharmacy.

Use it once or twice weekly, and leave on for 15-20min.

The Liphop Bye Bye Pore-Cleanse Blackhead Zero Soft Clay Mask do not contains paraben, petrolatum and mineral oil which effectively cleansed and refined pores, leaving skin smooth and moisturized. The Liphop Blackhead Zero Soft Clay Mask is formulated with green tea extract from Korea which helps to reduce excess sebum and cleanse and purify pores. It also contains mineral free fine volcanic ash powder from Jeju Island that helps to cleans and remove dead skin.

So far, I have been using it for a month and I do not see any visible results. I still have visible pores and it doesn't seems to reduce excess sebum. And, I still have blackheads. 😦

Medium plate of clams - $10+
The standard of the clams went up! The clams are juicier, and plumper. Fresh too! 👍

Prawn paste chicken, one of the must eat when I come here to eat. I ordered the small plate $12 (8 pieces). Big plate is $18. They deep fried it on the spot so you got to wait. The skin is crispy and the chicken meat is tender.

Small plate of french beans with dried shrimps, $9. It's not bad, I like the dried shrimps and french beans combo.

Pig liver mee suan soup $10+ Thick herbal soup with a lot of pig liver!

San Lou bee hoon 楼炒米粉
Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. There are shrimps and bean spouts in the middle of the bee hoon.

Review : Fashion Survival Intensive Foot Moisturizing Cream

Cracked heels and dry feet are an embarrassment. Have you notices young women with cracked heels? I find it unsightly. Singapore is a humid and hot country, and most women wear open-back sandals or flip flops. Everyone can see the condition of their feet! 😮 Cracked heels can snag on your blankets and socks, and rub against (or even scratch!) your partner when sleeping on the bed or curling up on the sofa. 😬

How I treat my cracked heels is I scrub my feet and then moisture it using cream for cracked heels. I usually only apply it at night, before I go to bed.

Bought this in Boots pharmacy, Bangkok to try it. It contains jojba oil and vitamins A and E which will moisture, smoothen and conditions the skin. I can't remember how much but it should be less than SGD$10.

The cream is quite thick and mildly scented.

My foot before applying the cream. The skin at the heel of my foot is dry, slightly cracked. There is slight peeling of skin too.

After applying the cream generously, my skin looks supple and smoothed. The cream absorb into the skin quite quickly.

But the next day, my skin is still dry. The cracked heel is even more obvious. 😱😮

Conclusion, this cream doesn't suits me at all. It does not delivers what it supposes to do. I tried this cream for a few weeks, and it does not moisturize my cracked heels. 😥  Not going to continue using it.

Review : Zao lek Lok Lok (update!)

Address : Paya Lebar Kovan CC, 207 Hougang Street 21, 530207

Operating hours : 530pm to 1130pm daily except Tuesdays

Price : Adult $24 nett (update: weekend price: $27 nett)
           Children $12 nett
           Student $20 nett

Able to choose any 2 soup bases - chicken soup, ma la, tom yum, satay, laksa and bak kut teh. Add $4 for satay sauce. It's slightly spicy.

(update) The young female server was rather rude. She did not wait for me to take the pic and almost snatched this piece of laminated menu from me. 💢 😒

Actually, can't really taste the differences between the soups (bak ku teh and satay) after a while. Just that the satay soup is a little spicy.

Zaolek Lok Lok have free flow drinks - plain water, water chestnut wheatgrass juice and lime juice. They also have beer and canned drinks (not included in the $24++ pricing).

Nice experience! We don't have to travel to JB for lok lok. But there are some of the food that JB have, such as scallops, cockles, pig blood, golden mushroom wrapped with bacon etc and Zaolek Lok Lok didn't offer.

The place is an outdoor area, equipped with big fans. But it still feel quite warm cuz of the steam coming out of the steamboat.

3 ways to enjoy lok lok at Zaolek.

Steamboat lok lok. They don't top up the soups.

update: chicken soup and tom yum soup. The tom yum soup base not bad though, not so spicy.

Deep fried lok lok

BBQ lok lok. Can't choose what you want as the servers will be going around with the BBQ lok lok. (update) the PRC ladies and one older lady are sweet and polite! Smiling and asking customers nicely and politely if we would like to have some of the BBQ lok lok.

(Update) Deep fried lok lok - fake crab meat, cheese mini hotdog, meat ball, luncheon meat, pork, chicken wrapped with seaweed. Limit to only 12 sticks per round. Only given a wooden peg so got to wait for the next round. They are quite fast though.

(Update) Deep fried lok lok - oyster mushroom, potato slice, squid and pig stomach. Don't recommend deep frying the pig stomach. The pig stomach is so tough that it's hard to bite. Same goes for the mock abalone. Best to boil it.

(Update) For steamboat lok lok - prawns, spinach and pork cubes. The pork cubes are like, the ones used in bak ku teh, the meat is tender and quite sweet.

(Update) For steamboat lok lok. Mock abalone, mushroom, tang o, pig stomach and prawns.

(Update) Deep fried lok lok - sweet potato (surprisingly nice!), yam and potato slice.

I would prefer if they would label what type of meat. I can't tell which part of the pork it is. All these can be either use for steamboat or deep fry.
(update) still no labels. 😄  They are quick in topping up the ingredients.

(update)  they have quite a variety of vegetables, cabbages, spinach, local lettuce, bittergroud, etc. They use ham to wrap around the enoki mushroom but I would very much prefer bacon wrapped enoki mushroom.

Assorted fruits.

I think they have strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, cookie and cream and something else. LOL

update: they have matcha ice cream! 2 types of cookies and cream, but I can't tell the difference.  😛
