Day 2! Went to Shibuya first, Harajuku then back to Shinjuku. Doesn't want to carry any shopping bags to Shibuya (from Harajuku) then back to Shinjuku.

Shibuya
Went to 3 spots in Shibuya:- statue of the faithful Hachikō (in front of the train station of Shibuya)
- Shibuya crossing
- Disney Store
Shibuya Street. Vibrant but the weather is really hot and humid in August. 😓
1) Hachikō statue
Look for the Hachiko Exit of Shibuya JR Station. Was lucky that there weren't any tourists taking photos of/with Hachiko! After I gotta a selfie with Hachiko, a group of tourists appeared. 😆
Saw this cute mini Hachiko bus past by and I quickly grabbed a snap (but unfortunately, a lady walked past...)!
2) Shibuya crossing
In the center of the district is the famous crossing outside Shibuya Station. A must-to-take-photo for every tourist. lol. I like how the Japanese are so polite that they won't bump into people.
Daytime of the Shibuya crossing.
3) Disney Store
3 floors of official Disney merchandise and it's tax free! They have Disney soft toys, stationary, princesses dresses, adults clothing, towels etc. Visit here if you regret not buying more of the Disney merchandise when you left Disneyland. 😉
Harajuku
The exterior of Harajuku JR station is really pretty and vintage.
2 spots in Harajuku:
- Meiji Shrine
- Takeshita Street
1) Meiji Shrine
The Meiji Shrine is located just beside the Harajuku JR line station. Exit from the southern entrance of Harajuku station, and take a 10min walk towards the Meiji Shrine. Walked along the stretch of JR pass machines, and turn right, you will see this (as below).
The Meiji Shrine is also accessible via Yoyogi Station but alighting at Harajuku station is a better idea cuz we could walk over to the Takeshita Street afterwards.
Free admission and it's opens from sunrise to sunset.
The Giant Torii Shrine Gate
The toilets are quite clean and spacious.
Rows and rows of decorative sake barrels
A hand washing custom before going into the shrine. Not sure how it's done so I just stood and watched how the locals do and then I followed. 😊
Lots of different charms; for safe delivery of baby, general luck, ward off evil, traffic safety, attract love, studies, work etc. The average price of the charm is about ¥800 (SGD$$9.74)
I bought the charm for attracting more luck (red one) and the warding off evil charm. Each cost ¥800.
Happened to see a wedding going on! 💕 💑
Shop in Meiji selling cute auspicious figurines.
Seal stamps. Each seal stamp costs ¥2,700 (SGD$32.90)!
The other side of the Harajuku station, if you turn left, there are also shops and restaurants.
This Cookie Time shop employed pretty employees!
There's a Pandora in Harajuku.
2) Takeshita Street
The street is full of cafes, shops and people! There is a huge Daiso here!
Quite a few of such cafes around; owls, hedgehogs, etc
The Calbee shop is packed full of people...
There are a lot of Crepes shops around here.
Brunch was at Gogo Curry, Japanese Curry Restaurant . The mascot is a gorilla with bright yellow and red signboard.
