Review: Nissin Cup Noodles Potato Chips (Black Pepper Crab Flavour)

Cup Noodles Potato Chips tasted like.... potato chips. I was expecting it to taste like cup noodles but in potato chips form. nope.

It's quite spicy, and the chips are so little! 3/4 of the bag is filled with air!! 3/14 of air and 1/4 of chips costs $1.80. :(

Review : Koh Grill & Sushi Bar

Location: 435 Orchard Road, #04-21 Wisma Atria Shopping Centre, Wisma Atria, 238877

Operating hours : 11:30am to 22:30pm (daily)

So I heard the famous dish is called "Shiok Maki". 10 pcs for $16.80. Worth it! They are really generous with the fish roe! I prefer Gen 1 as compared to Gen 2.

There are 2 types - Gen 1 and Gen 2.

Gen 1 - charcoal grilled eel wrapped with lightly roasted salmon topped with their special sauce and fish roe

Gen 2 - crispy prawn wrapped with lightly roasted salmon topped with their special sauce and fish roe

Review : Liese Creamy Bubble Color Hair Dye

My all-time fav hair dye! After dyeing, my hair still feel soft and silky. I tried the Watsons brand before, and it left my hair dry and frizzy. :(

I bought this in Bangkok. Costs less than S$10!

The instructions is very minimal. You may follows the steps below.

I forgot to use this after I rinse off the hair dye. Haha. But my hair still feel soft and silky~
The instructions are only in Thai...

Steps:

1) Pour Solution 1 into the bottle containing Solution 2.

2) Tilt the bottle slowly for 5 times. DO not shake the bottle.

3) Hold the bottle upright and gently squeeze the centre of the bottle to dispense the foam on gloved hand. I applied the foam onto my dry hair before I bathe.

4) Massage the foam on your head until it becomes creamier. Make sure it cover the hair. And leave on for 20 to 30min.

Review : InnisFree No Sebum Mint Mineral powder

InnisFree No Sebum Mint Mineral powder

Price : S$17.43

Formulated with sebum control powder, Jeju natural mineral and mint extracts. There is no parabens, artificial pigment, animal ingredients, mineral oil, artificial fragrances, talc. It smells good, not sure is it cause of the mint or the Jeju mineral.

It claimed to replace oil control paper by making the skin soft and matte. The Jeju natural mineral will control the balance of the skin oil.

I have oily skin and the powder is able to keep my skin oil free for just a few hours. The instructions stated to use at the last stage of daily skincare routine or makeup, and pat it on the whole face or the oily area. But, if we are to use it at the last stage, the powder puff will be stained with the foundation. I use it before I apply my make up.

It makes a great eye primer though. I pat the powder puff on my eyes area before I apply my eyeliner and concealer. My eyeliner did not smudge for the whole day!

Review : Siam Jiak Mookata & Skewer

Located at Blk 107 Ang Mo Koo Ave 4, S(560107), Siam Jiak Mookata & Skewer started their operation recently. The stall is just beside Hong Ji Claypot Bak Ku Teh.

The mookata only have set for 2-3 pax ($26) or ala carte orders. No buffet.

For big eaters, I think the portion is not enough for 3 pax or even 2 pax. The set do not included beef nor bacon. Personally, I feel that the ala carte order is rather pricey for a heartlands coffee shop mookata.

The ingredients are fresh and the stall owners/helpers are very friendly though.

Review : Sankai Japanese Restaurant

Was drawn to the "all-you-can-eat Japanese Buffet" notice and decided to try it.

Opening hours: Opens from 1130am to 11pm

Address: 1 Liang Seah St, Singapore 189022
Price: $29.80++ (lunch daily)
          $34.90++ (Sun to Thur Dinner)
$37.90++ (Fri, Sat, eve of PH Dinner)

The ambience is warm and cozy. The restaurant is a little small though. It's best to go there during non-peak hours as they don't have enough servers to cope with the growing number of customers.

First dish: chawanmushi! There was shitake mushroom, spinach, and fish cake.

Sashimi salad. Kinda disappointing. a few pieces of sashimi and the lettuce were like, the unwanted parts?

Sashimi and appetizer platter. Salmon sashimi was ok; quite thick and sweet. The smoked duck was delicious and the meat was tender.

Grilled Salmon with salt and Shishamo. Normal, nothing much to wow about.

Salmon mentai aburi.

Salmon sushi, prawn roe and spicy salmon. Quite disappointing that the prawn roe was not filled to the brim.

Soft shell crab handroll. Can't tell right? The soft shell crab was like, only 1/4 of the whole crab? Pathetic. :(

Chicken stewer. Not bad, the meat was tender and was lightly seasoned with teriyaki sauce.

Deep-fried selection: Breaded prawns, prawn tempura, Shishamo kara age and tako yaki.

Cold tofu.

Sashimi - Salmon, Hamachi, Tako, Sweet Prawns, and Seasoned Top Shell.

Chicken wing.

Sashimi - Tuna, lightly Seared Salmon, Cuttlefish.

Child (under 12 years) $13.90++

The items are topped with 4 different seasonings. There is original, chinese spices (some sort of ma la spices), spiced salt (salt and pepper), teriyaki tare, and spicy miso kimchi. On the order list, there will be options that you can choose under each item. However, not all items can choose the type of seasoning to your preference.

I prefer the Spiced Salt and Teriyaki Tare. Both non-spicy and can bring out the flavours of the food.

The ranking of spiciness is : Spiced Salt, Teriyaki Tare, Chinese Spices then Spicy Miso Kimchi.

Skewers buffet dinner is limited to 90min. (Not including the premium items and drinks.)

Kirin Yuzu Beer. 2 for $12

Crispy Deep Fried Silver Fish. Quite salty and the silver fish is quite small. $4.80

Satay and Enoki Mushroom Wrapped with Bacon.

Brocolli, Potato Slice and French Bean. (The potato slices was not as not cooked as I thought it will be)

Mini Bun (man tou) with Chinese Spices. $1.50

Enoki Mushroom. This is damm good! The minced garlic and spring onion add flavours to the enoki mushroom

Northern Dumpling.
