Review : Sam (2015)

Sam Poster

This movie is seriously WTF. After I finished the movie, WTF was my only remark. The show is about this womanizer who was magically transformed into a beautiful girl. He has to learn to love and respect being a woman before he can transformed back to his old self. BUT, here's the catch, his best buddy, a doctor and the male lead started to have feelings for each other! Not bromance kind of feelings but like, heterosexual horny feelings for each other! When the male lead, Sam had the chance to transform back, HE REFUSED. The movie ended with Sam (in the female body) and his male buddy kissing!! Sooo weird.

Tried the new Tonyu Miso and the usual sukiyaki soup bases. The Tonyu Miso is a combination of miso and soy milk broth. Not bad! The taste and smell of soy milk is not strong enough to be put off and it adds flavour to the meat.

Thinly fresh beef and pork slices.

The vegetables selection is quite limited. Disappointing.

Free flow ice cream and drinks at $1++ each. Drinks included iced lemon tea, orange minute maid, 7up, coke, coke lite, Fanta grape, iced Japanese green tea, hot green tea and hot water.

I tried this free flow premium meat - wagyu beef before. I couldn't really tell the difference between wagyu beef and the normal beef. Haha Waste of money. :(

Review : Don Meiji (Bugis Plus)

Location : Bugis+ , 201 Victoria Street, 188067, Don Meijin @ level 4

Mille Feuille Katsu Don ($12.80). A patty of 14 thinly slices pork loin layered with deep fried breadcrumbs. It was alright, nothing wow about it.

Spicy Chilli Crab Tendon ($14.80). Local + Japanese fusion dish. The spicy and a little sweet chilli crab sauce has some chucks of crab meat in it. The tempura was fried nicely, crispy and not soggy.

Personally, won't go back to eat again. The youtuber made it looked like it was damm good. :(

Order the Nasi Lemak Sotong King platter- $18 ( good for 3 pax or 4 pax if small eaters or 2 big eaters)

Nasi Lemak Sotong King platter consists of 2 hardboiled eggs, a large sotong, 3 chicken wings and small deep fried fishes.

The sotong is crispy and chewy. But the panda rice is not fragrant enough. Doesn't have the fragrant nasi lemak smell.

Chicken wings were not cooked thoroughly.
